Some people are a bit surprised when you tell them that Rabat is the capital of Morocco but when they see it, no-one is at all surprised to be told that its Pooky namesake is made of 100% solid, heavy brass. The substantial round base rises via concentric rings to a delicate mouth and the effect is rather beautiful. Something of the souk, certainly. And given how much brass is on display, surprisingly un-bling-a-ling, if that's a word?
