Once upon a time, velvet was a fabric for sultry hangouts that held the promise of something slightly exotic. It still is! But it's also a beautiful, warm material that makes the most beautiful lampshades. This one is enduringly soft and smooth and, well, velvety! Like a kitten's ears. In general, darker velvet colours like this one don't transmit much light so you get gentle pools of light spilling underneath.
