The UK’s finest interior designers select their favourite Pooky table lamps…
At Pooky we always get a buzz out of seeing our lights appearing in rooms created by the best interior designers in the country. Over the years we’ve got to interview dozens of fabulously stylish professionals on the blog – have a browse through them here – and very often they single out one of our classic table lamps as their favourite. So here’s a little edit of four longstanding, timeless, never-goes-out-of-style Pooky smash hits, as chosen by the pros…Wisteria - chosen by Susie Atkinson
Susie Atkinson is one of the country’s most respected designers, with a reputation for creating seriously stylish interiors for residential and commercial clients. Susie picked a true Pooky classic. The Wisteria has been a favourite amongst customers and professional stylist forever - it’s one what we knew was a winner from the start, and it’s never dropped off our pop charts.. In our interview Susie said: “We use Pooky lights quite a lot in different projects. I particularly like the pendants that have a cool and contemporary look. And for table lamps I really like the large Wisteria table lamp base in clear glass.”

Trafalgar - chosen by Beth Dadswell
Images: Imperfect Interiors
London-based interior designer Beth Dadswell has a mission to transform her clients’ homes into ‘inspiring spaces that are totally unique and full of character’ and through her interior design agency Imperfect Interiors she has been doing exactly that for the past decade, including a stunning renovation of her own home which featured on Grand Designs. Beth chose one of the smartest table lamps we’ve ever produced. The Trafalgar has never gone out of style and chances are it never will... “I really love the Trafalgar – it is so elegant and understated but with a touch of glamour. The smaller version is perfect for bedside tables, consoles and sideboards, and the larger floor lamp is great in a living room or a bedroom. I have used them in the Antique Bronze (above) and Brass versions and love them both equally!”Read our Q&A with Beth | Shop the Trafalgar
Otto - chosen by Louise Roe

After moving back to England from LA, the TV presenter, author, Instagram legend and all-round style supremo Louise Roe applied her skills to interior design and a stunning renovation of her country house – which includes filling it with loads of Pooky lights and shades. As her favourite table lamp she picked the smaller Otto, which is one of our greatest hits as a a bedside light…. "I have SO much Pooky! What’s brilliant is how often the collections change, so you know you won’t see the same item everywhere. That also means you have to be quick – I would often race to order new fabrics when I saw them! "My favourite is the floral pleated shade in our bedroom, on the Otto wooden base. The colours are perfect with our walls and the old books propping it up."Read our Q&A with Louise | Shop the Otto
Crescent and Artur - chosen by Verity Coleman

Verity Coleman of studio Rascal & Roses is a real rising star of UK interior design (you may recognise her from the BBC show Interior Design Masters). She had her cake and ate it by choosing two of our bestselling table lamps - and a very contrasting pair at that... "The best thing about sourcing Pooky lighting for clients is the range of colours available in the different styles – it really is my go-to place when looking for something to really lift a room. Table lamps, for me, are always a winner and I found it impossible to narrow down one favourite, so have chosen two: The Crescent table lamp in white – a hugely versatile and stunning piece in its own right that really adds a touch of unstated glamour to any space. I personally style them as a pair on a console table. "And my other is the Artur. This is lovely and adds a bit of fun to a scheme and because of the size you don’t have to pair them which can make them really great for using in a sitting room to add colour and interest without restricting the layout of the room."Read our Q&A with Verity | Shop the Crescent | Shop the Artur
