Pendant lighting: 5 rather lovely lanterns

Autumn is on its way and the time has come to consider cosiness, and warm lighting, and lanterns. There’s nothing like a brass and glass beauty glowing in a hallway to welcome you home. Or you might want to give your kitchen something a little special – lanterns look spectacular over kitchen islands and dining tables. In this post we’ve chosen five very different lantern styles from the Pooky range (you can see all our pendant lights here)…

1. Woody

This is a classic style: a hexagonal ceiling lantern in brass and glass, but with a gentle modern Pooky twist. Really striking when hanging in a front hall or landing area.

2. Stella

A fabulous centrepiece in antique brasswork and clear glass, Stella is (literally) a real star of the Pooky lantern collection. It’s beloved by customers and professional interior designers alike. 3. Hydra

A beautiful upturned bowl set in a brass frame, Hydra is striking and unusual – but in fact it’s a classic shape of French extraction. Would go well in a room with a bit of a continental theme. 

4. Connie

Another star (but quite different to Stella), Connie is a meticulously made brass and glass lantern. Fabulous enough to be a centrepiece even in quite a large sitting room, or a talking point over a round dining table.

5. Luxor

For elegant simplicity, the Luxor is hard to beat. The regular glass pendant (above) is a simple lantern with sloped sides, framed in gently antiqued brasswork.
