At Pooky we like our pendant lights louche and luxurious… hanging about, looking handsome, just dripping style. And brass is best for spilling warm buttery light around the place in a lazy sort of way. Here’s our selection of designer brass hanging lamps…
Over a breakfast bar, above a dining table, hanging around in a corner or lighting a hallway, pendant lights bring some real personality and a dash of accent colour to a room. They also provide moody, atmospheric light: much gentler than a normal central ceiling chandelier and warmer than functional sunken LEDs. And for maximum warmth, go for brass. Here’s our collection.
Dexter– clean lines and slick design
The Dexter is a sturdy light made from solid brass. Actually there are no less than six Dexters – three colours, each of which comes in a large or a smaller size.

Above is is the larger version in copper, with a base diameter of 29cm. Very contemporary without being threatening, it would work wonderfully in an industrial scheme or a kitchen. Compare with the smaller version, a dainty 22cm:

Thea – classic Scandi cool
We modelled the Thea on a pendant we saw in a shop in Copenhagen. It’s an impressive 30cm in diameter and has all the Scandi cool you could wish for, whilst being sleek and classic.
Other very cool Thea flavours are a bronze finish with a brass interior, and bronze with a lovely warm copper interior. Feast your eyes…

Roller – retro industrial style
The Roller pendant is made from pure brass, first pressed, then finished. The corrugated look gives it an industrial retro feel, and the brass lifts it up and up.
Saturn – smart industrial style
Or if you like your industrial a little more on the straight and narrow, the Saturn is a pleasing combination of round lines and straight lines. Comes in an antiqued copper (below) and a warmer antiqued brass.
