Pooky at the House & Garden Festival

Our lamps and shades are lighting up the House & Garden Festival at Olympia London this week – and in more ways than one…

The House & Garden Festival is a four-day inspiration extravaganza for lovers of interiors, exteriors and all things lifestyle. Running from 21 to 24 June, it’s actually three huge shows in one: Grow London, the Spirit of Summer Fair and The HOUSE Fair, all with top exhibitors, talks, workshops and similar fun stuff.

You can come along and see what Pooky Lighting has to offer at Stand E11 in the HOUSE Fair section – but there’s much more besides, and we’ll also be popping up in some very special places. Three top UK interior design experts are presenting Style Rooms, in which they’ll create beautiful spaces using pieces selected from the thousands of on show at the Festival – and we’re delighted that all three are featuring Pooky lights….

2LG Studio – ‘The Kitchen Table’

Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead of 2LG Studio (aka 2 Lovely Gays) have a way of making everything they touch look, well, lovely. The theme of their Style Room is ‘The Kitchen Table’ which, as they say, in a single day can transform itself from ‘office desk, to children's playtime, to artists studio to bakers work station to entertaining space’. Their creation will be inspired by the new arts & crafts movement and promises to be a perfect combination of functional and beautiful.

2LG are old friends of Pooky (see our Q&A with them here) and they’ll be using our Verona table lamps painted in Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue (above), a trio of Eider pendant lights in recycled green glass (unfortunately the Eider pendant lights are no longer available, but please take a look at our extensive range of pendant lights here), and some neutral lampshades.

The Pink House – ‘The Home Hotel’

Style blogger and all-round interiors guru Emily Murray of The Pink House is another old pal of Pooky (see our interview with her here) and her Style Room is going to be a ‘small space living room designed to behave like a bar’. Now that does sound like our sort of thing!

Emily is using two of our Coronet floor lamps in aquamarine with orange ikat lampshades, and two Crescent table lamps in white marble, paired with Straight Empire shades in the temple blue block print. We can’t wait to see what she does with them!

Interior Style Hunter – 'Blue Layers Bedroom'

The Interior Style Hunter blog – founded by the impeccably tasteful Grant Pierrus – is all about luxury, and his Style Room is going to be a bedroom layered with lots of blues, for a ‘warm, inviting and accessible space.’ Pooky are adding our bit with a pair of brass Trafalgar table lamps (below) matched with Straight Empire shades in temple blue block print. It’s bound to be glorious…

We’ll hopefully be taking a few snaps from the show and following up with a post about how it went – but why not come along to the House & Garden Festival yourself? Tickets for the event at Olympia London are available here. And if you are coming, please do come and say hello to us at stand E11 in The HOUSE Fair!
