Our 9 favourite Instagram interiors moments of 2019

What would we interior design enthusiasts do without Instagram, eh? It’s almost hard to remember a time when we weren’t able to devour the eye-candy daily supplied by all the country’s top interior designers and stylists. 2019 has been another vintage year on the 'gram - here are a few of our highlights...

1) The Jamie’s Farm miracle makeover

Back in April a host of extremely lovely interiors-types, led by Kate McPhee and Sophie Robinson, got together and volunteered their time to renovate a farmhouse for young person’s charity Jamie’s Farm (we were delighted to contribute some lights and shades). The final result was stunning - check out the story here.

2) Jessica Buckley talks shop

Pooky’s now-legendary Meet the Interior Designer Q&As are a treat, chock full of stories, tips and insights. This year highlights included the brilliant Jessica Buckley, one of our very favourite contemporary British designers - feast your eyes on the lavishly illustrated interview here.

3) Pooky goes arty

We had a terrifically different sort of lampshade collaboration this year when we teamed up with AttikoArt, a mother and daughter team who make prints bridging the gap between art and interior design. Basically, we made lampshades that are also fine art prints. Read all about it here.

4) Bulbous at Coppaclub

We love stalking around Insta spotting our lamps in fab locations. This one of our Bulbous pendant at the Coppaclub, Tower Bridge, was a particular joy to behold…

5) Popping up at Focus

Focus is a six-day interior design extravaganza when enthusiasts from around the globe will pour into Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to check out what’s moving and shaking in the world of beautiful decor. This year Pooky made our debut with a pop-up showroom - an amazing indoor ‘garden’ designed by Florence Rolfe.

6) This room:

Designed by the brilliant Rosanna Bossom (with a Pooky light just peeking in) - what a stunner!

7) Shibori shades

Definitely next year’s big thing, we’ve been teasing everyone with these Shibori dip-dyed shades for a few months, and finally, here they are!

8) Sophie Robinson’s colour explosion

A technicolour blast from Sophie R has become a bit of an annual tradition now. This one from her Brighton holiday home just happens to feature our Insignia wall light and Emerald Dupion shades.

9) Minnie the Poodle

Well you didn’t think we could get to the end of this without featuring a dog, did you? This is @marinaheumann’s poodle Minnie. Wall lights and packaging: Pooky. Hair and flair: Model's own. Follow Pooky on Instagram in 2020 here!
