Pop in and see us this week at our very first pop-up showroom – at the Focus/19 event at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour…
Focus/19 is a six-day interior design extravaganza, when enthusiasts from around the globe will pour into Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to check out what’s moving and shaking in the world of beautiful decor – and this year Pooky will be making our pop-up debut! From 15 to 20 September we’ll be showing off our new collection of lamps, shades and more – with a special ‘in conversation’ event all about lighting on Wednesday 18th.
Step into the Pooky Garden...
The theme for Focus/19 is ‘Growth & Nature’, so we thought we’d turn our space into a gorgeous Pooky garden. Genius stylist Florence Rolfe has created an amazing indoor/outdoor showroom, centred around a large ring of pendant lights covered in flora and fauna. The overhead hanging garden has been put together by the floral magicians at JamJar Flowers - and further magic has been supplied in the form of a beautiful, earthy rug from Laylah Holmes of Holmes Bespoke, paint by Benjamin Moore and lovely fabric for the curatain and velvet for the cushions by Lewis & Wood fabrics. As well as the pop up showroom we also have a display case with products kindly loaned by Granger & Hertzog and wallpaper gifted from Sanderson (The Style Library).

Alongside a selection of classic Pooky lights we’ll be showcasing our latest collection, including the new Halo pendant, a host of wall lights like Moon and Gatsby, a smattering of picture lights, and lots of colourful new table and floor lamps. Come and gawp at them, and have a chat with our friendly team about what lighting options will work best for you.

In conversation: ‘Lighting – the magic touch’
If you love a bit of interiors chat then join us on Wednesday 18th September at 11am for our Access All Areas design discussion, ‘Lighting – the magic touch’. Pooky founder Rohan Blacker will be in conversation with Lucy Barlow (below) of the top interior design agency Barlow & Barlow, and her brother Maxwell of Maxwell Barlow Lighting. They'll giving their professional insights into how good lighting can transform all kinds of spaces, large and small.
The pair have particular expertise when it comes to lighting: Maxwell honed his lighting design skills for John Cullen, while Lucy - who we interviewed here - has a wealth of experience using lighting to create beautiful interiors.
