With a little help from our Chief Creative Officer, Jo, we're taking a closer look at what makes each of our best-selling designs endlessly adored - why they've been charming our customers year after year, lamp after lamp... and still haven't lost a flicker of their magic.
A new year always feels like a fresh start, and what better way to shake up your space than with a little new light? Winter evenings are long, dark, and perfect for curling up with a good book, a cup of something warm... and a lamp that makes you smile. There's something magical about how the right glow can transform a room, lift your mood, or even start a conversation.
We've been diving into the data, seeing which lamps have been flying off the shelves and which ones make our customers' hearts skip a beat. And you know what? Our Pooky fans are just as whacky about some of our quirkiest, boldest designs as we are. From the statuesque to the delightfully curvaceous, these lamps aren't just light - they're personality, flair, and a little bit of joy.
So, as the nights stretch on and the January chill sets in, we thought we'd shine a little spotlight on our all-time best sellers. Here are the lamps that have stolen hearts, sparked smiles, and proved that sometimes, a little light goes a very long way.
Wobster

"We designed the wonderful Wobster during lockdown and the world was all feeling a bit wobbly, and it was an instant hit! The fantastic shape looks beautiful in natural wood and amazing in any colour we throw at it, and has even featured in a couple of our favourite films!"
The Wobster is for the bold, the brave, the ones who like a bit of drama in their decor. Statuesque, curvy, and dressed in 8 shades of gorgeous lacquer, she's a lamp with serious chutzpah. Honestly... just look at her. A little daring, a lot of presence, and all kinds of unforgettable.
We were delighted to add a cordless version of wonderful Wobster when the time came, thanks to our ever-so-clever Genesis rechargeable cell. Available in a punchy pink and glossy green - that same sculptural sass and curvaceous charm everyone adores, now portable!

Whinny
"Whinny was inspired by a mid-century ceramic design. We made him in a solid block of resin and we adore how the light shines through him."
You don't have to be a 'horsey' person to fall for Whinny, but it helps. Inspired by the highly stylised horse-head motifs of ancient Mesopotamia, this lamp is cast in luminous, translucent resin. Perfect near a window, where sunlight makes him glow like a tiny masterpiece.
Robyn
"Named after our amazing head of retail - Robyn is small but mighty! Each pattern on this little ceramic number is slightly different so has its own individual sense of style."
Sometimes a little abstract doodle just works. That's the story behind Robyn. No hidden meaning, just pure beauty. Each lamp is unique, every glaze pattern a one-off work of art. Small but utterly captivating.
Stucco
“We ummed and ahhed designing and re-designing the leaves on the Stucco so many times we were all getting a bit sick of the back and forth! Thankfully in the end, it just worked perfectly.”
Stucco got her name by accident, but it somehow fits. Layers of delicate leaves 'stuck' to her elegant form, each one painstakingly placed. We agonised over every detail - size, spacing, tone - until it felt just right. A year in the making, and now she's here: intricate, decorative, and entirely worth the wait.
Hilts
"A beautiful version of a classic idea. All the adjustable elements on this lamp make it a perfect reading or home office partner."
Our take on the swing study lamp classic. Every element is considered, from the extendable base to the polished, hand-finished details. Lillee
